To replace the number plate bulb on a Smart, use a tool to lever the light unit out of its housing. Once the light unit is removed, disconnect the connector attached to it and remove the bulb inside. After extracting the bulb from its housing, insert the new one into the light unit and reconnect it to the connector. Once everything is connected, insert the light unit back into its place, ensuring the bulb is functioning.
