To measure the headlight brightness, the phone or tablet must have a light sensor. You can tell if it has the 'automatic brightness' option, as it also has a light sensor. Measure the height at the centre of the headlight, which in this case is 62 cm, then at night, turn on the dipped headlights while standing five metres in front of the vehicle. Install a light measuring application on your phone, such as the free 'Light Meter' app for Android. This application measures light intensity using the phone's light sensor. Look for the height corresponding to the maximum intensity of the light beam, which in this case is 45 cm. The nominal headlight inclination is written on the headlight bracket. For this vehicle, it corresponds to 1.2%. Now we need to calculate the headlight inclination: The inclination equals the height of the headlight centre minus the height of the headlight at 5 metres divided by 5 metres multiplied by 100, so = (0.62-0.45/5x100) total 3.4%. Therefore, if the nominal inclination is 1.2%, it means the light beam is too low. To raise the light beam, use the vertical adjustment screw to bring it closer to the nominal inclination, and then repeat the measurement.
