Where are the fuses on the Smart Fortwo

Model: Smart Smart 453 - Years 2014-2022
Part: Fuse box

The fuse boxes in the Smart Fortwo are found one in the front compartment of the car, which must be removed by removing the front covers, unlocked with the key and moved forward towards the nose; slightly open the compartment under the wipers, under the larger wiper we find the fuse box which we are going to open by removing the top cover. The fuse box in the passenger compartment is located inside the glovebox, where we find a lid with a tab above that we go to pull from above and remove it and in doing so we have access to the fuse box. If you operate the wipers with the front flap open, they could get caught in the wiper shafts causing injury hazard, so always switch off the wipers and the ignition before opening the front maintenance flap.

How to Replace the Boot Compartment Light Bulb on a Peugeot 208

If you want to improve visibility inside the boot compartment, it is recommended to replace the original incandescent bulb with a LED type (T10 fitting); once the rear hatch is opened, locate the bulb holder positioned on the side, near the shock absorber dome, where the plastic grille is located. Then, lever the retaining tab to extract the bulb holder, disconnect the power connector, and remove the old bulb to replace it with the LED one; reconnect the power, check the correct operation of the bulb (if not, rotate it 180°), and reposition the bulb holder in its place.
