How do you remove the steering wheel of the Smart 451?

In order to remove the steering wheel of the Smart 451, you need to loosen the bolts located at the lower rear part of the steering wheel so that the airbag placed at its center can be released from its seat. Once the airbag has been extracted, it will be possible to disconnect its connector and loosen the underlying central nut that secures the steering wheel to its column. By doing so, the steering wheel can be completely removed and the new replacement piece can be inserted: after installation, it will be possible to reconnect and re-secure the central airbag with its screws.
