How do you remove the convertible top of the Smart Cabrio?

In order to remove the roof of the Smart Cabrio, you need to lower it completely by pressing the appropriate button located inside the cabin. Once the roof is lowered, you can open the rear hatch of the car and remove the hooks that secure the roof to its housing. By disconnecting the underlying connectors, you can completely remove the roof from its housing and insert the new replacement piece. This can be attached to its housing by connecting the connectors and securing the piece with screws, then verifying that it functions correctly.
