How to Replace the Rear Shock Absorber

Model: Smart Smart 451 - Years 2007-2015

Lift the car with a jack and place something to keep it elevated for working. Remove the wheel with the appropriate spanner. Now remove the plastic cover inside the wheel arch. To do this, it is necessary to unscrew a series of bolts with the appropriate spanner as shown in the images. Using a hydraulic jack, slightly raise the wheel so that the shock absorber is not under tension. Unscrew the bolt that secures the shock absorber at the top. Remove the cover of the bolt that secures the bottom and unscrew it with the appropriate spanner. At this point, you can extract the old shock absorber from its position and replace it with the new one. The assembly operations are the same as previously seen but performed in reverse order. The car on which maintenance was performed is a Smart ForTwo.

How to Remove the Diesel Filter from a Peugeot 207

Lift the bonnet; remove the soundproofing panel from the engine and locate the diesel filter (as shown in the video). Using a socket wrench, unscrew the bolts (a spanner can also be used) near the container where the diesel filter is located. Once the filter is removed, disconnect the circulation hoses and take it out of the vehicle (replace it with a new filter). Finally, refit the filter to the attached container of the diesel filter (connect the hoses and wires) and tighten the appropriate bolts. Close the bonnet afterwards.
