Resetting the Service Indicator on a Smart Fortwo

In this brief tutorial, you will see how to reset the service indicator on a Smart Fortwo 450, model produced from 1998 to 2007. First, turn on the instrument panel without starting the engine, then quickly press the trip button located behind the speedometer twice until you see the message indicating the maintenance interval in kilometres as shown in the video. Once done, press and hold the trip button, then turn off and turn on the panel again. Finally, wait about ten seconds with the trip button still pressed until the kilometre interval is reset.
