How do you replace the clutch actuator of the Smart car?

In order to replace the clutch actuator of the Smart car, you need to lift the car using a jack or a lift, so that you can have access to the area underneath the vehicle: at the driver's side, you will be able to locate the clutch actuator. The actuator can be removed from its housing by loosening the screws that fix it to its seat and disconnecting the appropriate connectors; now you can insert the new actuator, fixing it with the appropriate screws and connecting the connectors to ensure that everything works correctly.

Unlatch and lift the hood, then you will need to remove all the parts above the area where you will be working. As shown in the video, you can remove the screws to take off the upper panels. Now you need to remove the air filter cover from the engine. In any case, you will need to remove all obstructing parts until you reach the belt. In the diagram, you can see which pulley acts as the tensioner, so loosen it to remove the belt. Once the tension is off the belt, you can take it out and replace it without issues.
