How to replace the drive belt on a Smart Fortwo 451

Model: Smart Smart 451 - Years 2007-2015
Part: V-belt

In this video we see how to replace the drive belt on a Smart 451. First, we need to remove the left rear wheel, then lift the car and access the protective cover behind the shock absorber, using some penetrating oil; once removed, we see the belt. Loosen the alternator tensioner bolt, lever it (without removing it completely) and the belt loosens. When this belt frays, it can happen - as in this case - that it hits the oil sensor, cutting it. We will therefore also have to change that. Before putting on the new belt, make sure there are no pieces of the old one along the way. When we put on the new belt, always do a test drive to verify that it has been positioned correctly. Recharge the alternator and the game is done. The tools that our youtuber uses to remove and replace the belts can be found on Amazon with the code B09KRSNCXV, at a price of 8.99 euros for the kit, free delivery for Prime customers.

Remove a Rear Light from a Volkswagen Touran

Remove a rear light from a Volkswagen Touran to replace the damaged bulbs. Open the boot lid, and using a lever, remove the plastic cover of the rear light. Unscrew the securing bolts located at the side of the rear light with a screwdriver (using a socket spanner or screwdriver with a bit). Once the light is free from any constraints, detach it from the bodywork (disconnect the relevant power connectors). Replace the damaged bulbs with identical ones in size and voltage. Finally, reassemble the light and reverse the assembly of the other parts.
