How to deactivate the Start&Stop function in a Subaru?

Model: Subaru Subaru Various
Part: Checks and maintenance

In this tutorial, we can see how to disable the Start&Stop feature in a Subaru, a very simple operation to be carried out in case we find this system too intrusive. First of all, we turn on the instrument panel, it is not necessary to start the engine, then, on the touch-screen display, we select the icon depicting a vehicle located in the lower left corner and go to the "Vehicle Control" tab. Then, we scroll through the various functions until we find the "Auto Start Stop" option, uncheck it, and return to the main screen. However, the deactivation of the system is only temporary, as it will need to be performed at every startup.

How to Replace the Gear Shift Gaiter of the Honda CR-V

You can purchase an aftermarket gear shift cover complete with a knob, made of leather with coloured stitching. The disassembly is quite straightforward: start by unscrewing the gear shift knob by twisting it. Next, detach the trim at the base of the gear lever by prying along the edges. Then, remove the chrome trim that holds the gaiter in place, peeling off the leather edges from the plastic support. Apply new double-sided adhesive to the plastic tabs to insert and stick the edges of the new gaiter, securing it with the chrome trim. Finally, fit the gaiter complete with the knob onto the gear lever, securing it with the appropriate screws and reattaching the trim to the tunnel support.
