How to Dismantle the Wing Mirror on a Subaru Forester

Model: Subaru Forester SH, MK 3 - Years 2008-2011

Remove the door panel of the affected door by unscrewing the bolts located behind the handle and in the small storage compartment in the armrest. Remove it and disconnect the connectors linked to the window controls. Proceed by removing all the bolts still holding the door, then extract the panel using a lever, preferably with a plastic tool. Now, using a flathead screwdriver, remove the triangle cover corresponding to the mirror. Disconnect the connector and remove the screws securing the mirror. You can now simply extract it and install the new one.

The first step, after lifting the hood, is to remove the panel covering the inside of the trunk. Once removed, you can access the entire handle mechanism. Now, disconnect the connector that powers the trunk. This will allow you to disengage the various mechanisms that operate the handle. Next, remove all the cables that move the parts.
