To replace the rear shock absorber on the Suzuki GSX S1000, remove the seat by loosening the screws that secure it in place. This will provide access to the screws that hold the shock absorber at its upper end; remove these screws. Once they are removed, loosen the bolts that secure the shock absorber at its lower end: these bolts can be accessed through the slots located on the sides of the bike. After the old shock absorber has been removed, replace it with a new one.

How to Remove the Final Drive from a BMW R 1200 GS?
