In order to disassemble the engine of the Sym Joymax Z, you need to loosen the screws that secure the cylinder to the top of the engine block: before removing the cylinder, you will need to disconnect the coil and also remove the corresponding spark plug. Once the spark plug has been removed from its seat, it will be possible to slide out the cylinder and locate the underlying piston: this can be removed from the corresponding connecting rod by expanding the ring and removing the pin. At this point, it will be possible to access the additional components located in the corresponding lower part.
