Below are the instructions for replacing the engine oil and oil filter of the Sym Jet Power 125 scooter. First, place the scooter on its centre stand and begin to unscrew the oil drain bolt located under the engine using a socket spanner; allow the old oil to drain into a container for about ten minutes.

Next, clean the small oil filter and screw the drain bolt back in; now unscrew the filler cap and pour in the new engine oil of the correct type (in this case, a 20W40), then check the oil level!
