The video shows how to repair the heating control board of a 2005 Toyota Highlander. This can be done without the need for a mechanic. First, remove the radio and the HVAC control head. Unscrew the screws from the rear of the rear control panel and remove it, being careful to also disconnect the ribbon cable that joins the rear panel and control card. Remove the heating system knobs and nuts on any switches that have damaged wires. Remove the switch and the soldered wire parts from it. Also cut the other end of the tape to have a new end to solder to the circuit board on the switch. Solder the threads of the tape. Reverse all assembly operations, as described above.
