How Adaptive Cruise Control Works on the Toyota Yaris Cross

Let’s see how adaptive cruise control works on the Toyota Yaris Cross. The symbols are located on the right side of the multifunction steering wheel. The button at the top represents the adaptive cruise control. Below it is the speed limiter. The difference is that adaptive cruise control maintains speed and adjusts to a lower speed compared to the vehicle in front, while the speed limiter prevents you from exceeding a previously set speed. To activate the Adaptive Cruise Control, press the button; a green symbol appears at the top left. To activate the speed limiter, use the two knobs on the right so it can memorise the speed you are currently travelling. This will prevent you from going faster than the preset speed. You can increase or decrease the speed using the lever to adapt it to road conditions. The indicator showing the operation of the adaptive cruise control option also displays the maximum distance you can keep from the vehicle in front, which you can increase or decrease. The vehicle automatically adjusts to the vehicle ahead if it gets too close. The vehicle also recognises road signs, adapting to them if you press the button. The vehicle can come to a stop. By pressing the button again, the vehicle will restart at a green traffic light.
