Operation: How Adaptive Cruise Control works on the Toyota Yaris Cross

Let's see how adaptive cruise control works on the Toyota Yaris Cross. The symbols can be seen on the right of the multifunction steering wheel. The key at the top represents the adaptive Cruise control. Below we have the speed limiter. The difference lies in the fact that the Cruise control maintains the speed and adapts to a lower speed, compared to the car in front of us, while the speed limiter will not make us exceed a certain speed that we have previously set. To activate the Adaptive Cruise Control, let's press the button; a green symbol appears at the top left. To activate the speed limiter instead we must use the two knobs on the right, so that it can memorize the speed at which we are going at that moment. It will prevent us from going faster than that preset speed. From the lever we can increase the speed or decrease it, to adapt it to the needs of the road. The warning light that highlights the operation of the adaptive cruise control option also shows you the maximum distance you can keep from the car in front, which you can increase or decrease. The car automatically adjusts to the car in front if it gets too close. The car also recognizes road signs, so it adapts - if I press the button, to the signs themselves. The car comes to a stop. Always pressing the button, the car starts again at the green light.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
