Removing the Radio from a Toyota Rav4

To remove the original radio from the dashboard of a Toyota Rav4 for replacement with a more updated model, use a thin lever, preferably plastic to avoid scratching surfaces, to remove the two side profiles of the radio. Now, unscrew the cross-head screws holding the radio frame and take it off. You can access the four bolts securing the unit to the dashboard, which you will need to unscrew using a ratchet spanner with an extension. Grip the radio by the sides and pull it out of its housing, then disconnect the electrical connectors and the aerial cable to complete the operation.
