How to Replace the Headlight Bulb on a Triumph Speed Triple R

To replace the headlight bulb on the Triumph Speed Triple R, loosen the screws that secure the headlamp unit to its housing: these screws are located at the bottom and the top of the headlamp. Once the headlamp is released, you can remove it from its position and disconnect the connector at the back: this will allow you to extract the bulb inside, so it can be replaced with a new one. After the replacement, refit the headlamp to ensure everything is functioning.

This bike requires a specific movement of the throttle grip to accelerate, which forces the right wrist into an unnatural twist. You can remedy this by fitting the throttle control from the R6, which reduces the rotation from 90° to 45°; the cost is under £25 even when buying the original part directly from the dealership. As shown, the disassembly and reassembly work is extremely simple; just be careful not to let the throttle guide slip, as it has its seat directly in the cover.
