EuroNcap test results for Aixam quadricycles

Model: (Various brands) Aixam

Video tutorial

As we can see from this video, the results of the Euro Ncap tests for Aixam quadricycles (as well as for other Microcars) are truly disappointing: They obtained a score of 1 star out of five available in crash tests. This means that the protection offered to passengers in case of an accident is significantly lower compared to that of a traditional car. The structure of the vehicle did not prove to be sufficiently rigid to effectively absorb the impact energy; the restraint systems are inadequate.

Very often, airbags are not even present, and when they are, they do not guarantee safety. In the event of a collision, the occupants of these small cars are exposed to a very high risk of serious injuries, even at low speeds; let alone what happens when these vehicles are modified - which is almost always the case - to reach higher speeds.

Parents who believe they are keeping their children safer by buying them these small cars should watch these videos.
