As the YouTuber in the video tells us, the timing belt should be changed every 5 to 6 years or every 100,000 to 120,000 km. The exact interval is indicated in the owner's manual of our vehicle. Remember that if we don't reach the mileage, the time interval applies: in any case, the clause always holds that we must follow the condition that occurs first. We should always listen carefully to our car: if we hear strange squeaks or notice cracks on the belt—which should be visually inspected periodically—we need to have it checked immediately. When changing the belt, we should also change the tensioner pulley, the water pump, and the seals. We shouldn't rely too much on "long life" belts. Only chains truly have a long lifespan, and sometimes not even those.
