How to Remove the Return Pipe of the Injectors on the 1.6 HDi Engine

Model: (Various brands) Various
Part: Fuel injectors

Video tutorial

Let’s briefly explain the function of the return pipe of the injectors in a diesel engine. This is so named because it connects all the injectors together, and when the diesel fuel arrives to be injected into the engine, any excess is returned to the tank, optimising consumption.

Removing it is very simple, as shown in the video; just pull the pipes off the injectors with your hands, as they are installed without locking, screws, or anything else. Being made of rubber, the heat allows them to fit perfectly to the plastic inlet, greatly facilitating the task.
