This video shows how to replace the steering rack in a car. The vehicle in question is a Lancia Ypsilon, but the procedure can be followed for all cars in the Fiat, Lancia, and Alfa Romeo groups. First, lift the car using one or more jacks, remove the wheel, and extract both the outer and inner bolts of the steering rack. Next, you will be able to remove the two track rod ends, the plastic that protects the wiring of the gear lever, and all the supports of the steering rack. At this point, the steering rack can be removed. To install the new one, repeat the process in reverse order to disassembly, and you're done!
