In this video we see how an essential component of our car works: the steering box. We see the mechanism from below, which is connected to the steering wheel through a small shaft. In reality, it is a "unit" because it is composed of many pieces, including two worm screws that slide on each other, so that when we turn left, the rack moves to the left, while when we turn right, it moves to the other side: in this way the heads attached to the wheel turn to the right or left, so that they turn in the direction we have decided. It is a simple but very important organ. This car has a mechanical steering, but many cars now have electric or even hydraulic steering, in order to lighten the movement and make it more precise.
