In this video, we can see the correct way to sew a leather steering wheel cover by ourselves. First of all, the thread must be doubled; then we make a small knot and cut the thread close to it. We start by keeping the knot inside the leather and begin from the closest part to the steering wheel, where we will pass the thread several times around the needle to make it more resistant. We tighten it well. We thread the needle through the outer stitching and, with great patience, continue like this, stitch by stitch, from one side to the other, forming a decorative zigzag pattern on the wheel. We always pull the thread tightly because the leather must be very snug. When we reach the next spoke, we will wrap the thread around the needle again as we did at the beginning, pass it several times, and then cut it long to make a knot that we will push inside. We start again from the other spoke.

How to open the bonnet of the Volkswagen Polo
