The coolant temperature sensor is a small but important component inside the engine compartment. Its fundamental action, in fact, allows to preserve the reliability and efficiency of the engine, avoiding serious and unexpected overheating. After a certain number of kilometers it is necessary to replace it especially if malfunctions or breakdowns are found. To do this, it is necessary to operate with the engine off and especially with low temperatures. Raise the front hood and locate the alternator in the front. The sensor is connected immediately below. Disconnect the present connector and unscrew the screw. At this point all that remains is to extract the old sensor and replace it with a new one. Re-tighten the screw removed previously and reattach the connector.
