How to Replace the Alternator on a Nissan Juke

In this video, see how to replace the alternator on a Nissan Juke 1: first, disconnect the negative battery terminal, then lift the car and remove the front right wheel (the side from which you will access the alternator). Remove the plastic wheel arch liner (held only by cross screws and clips). Disconnect the alternator by removing the electrical connector and unscrewing the positive cable clamp. Loosen the drive belt using a 14 mm socket on the tensioner pulley (this may be a good opportunity to replace these two components if they are worn), turning it clockwise to loosen, then remove the belt from the alternator. Unscrew the two mounting bolts (14 mm upper, 12 mm lower), and swing the alternator forward to extract it. In the meantime, obtain the new alternator, for example, from Ovoko, with code 23100BV80A at a price of £29.99 + £24.99 shipping. Position the new alternator and screw in the bolts without fully tightening; replace the belt on the pulley, tension the belt, turn the tensioner pulley counterclockwise and secure with the bolt. Reconnect the positive cable and the electrical connector, reattach the wheel and wheel arch liner, and reconnect the battery. It’s time to start the engine to check that everything is in order.
