How to perform a soft reset on a Volkswagen radio?

Let's see how to perform a soft reset (also known as a forced restart) of a Volkswagen radio. The procedure shown in the tutorial is valid for both the RNS 510 and RNS 810 radios. How to Open a Stuck Boot on the Peugeot 407?
