How to Easily Repair a Car Sun Visor

Sun visors - if they are manual - all work in the same way. Therefore, regardless of the car model, the main rules to follow are basically: start by unscrewing the fastening, which is usually held in place by a couple of screws and a bayonet, so that the visor, which forms a single unit with its support, can rotate and open sideways.

To repair it without necessarily replacing it, you only need a 5 mm fully threaded bolt, two washers, a nut, and a two-component adhesive (or a thread lock as shown in the video).

Begin by pouring a drop of adhesive into the tube that will hold the bolt, place the first washer in the front housing that we will need to screw back to the car's ceiling, and the other one we position at the back, pour a bit of adhesive on the bolt and insert it. There’s no need to tighten it too much, as the adhesive will do the job. Speaking of adhesive, allow it some time to dry before reattaching everything to the car's ceiling.

After the necessary time has passed, secure it and the job is done.
