If we have to reset the automatic transmission of a Peugeot brand car, since we have encountered malfunctions in shifting and especially in downshifting, we can proceed by following the procedure below and referring to the video. First of all we have to access the passenger compartment and turn on the ignition, with the engine warm we have to make sure that all the electrical and electronic components are off, such as the air conditioner fan, the lights and the doors closed. Then fully depress the brake pedal and keep it pressed throughout the procedure. Move the gear lever from P to N and leave it in this position for at least 2 minutes, then move the lever to position M and wait at least another minute. Then move the selector lever back to P and switch off the ignition. Open and close the driver's side door and finally it is possible to release the brake pedal and the reset will have been carried out.

How to set the time on the Peugeot 308
