(Various brands) Various - Video tutorial

Model: (Various brands) Various
Part: Engine
Operation: Reliability of the 1.5 Dci Renault engine

In the video we listen to the opinion of the youtubers on the 1.5 Dci Renault engine, which has traveled 140,000 km on it, feeling very good. This engine is fitted to many types of Renault, Dacia, Nissan and Mercedes cars. On a mixed course, consumption was around 19 km per litre, and the sprint is also good. There were no anomalies or excessive oil consumption. The user of the video has extensively used the ECO mode - after all, they are personal preferences, as he also explains - and on the motorway it consumes even less. He brings some comparisons with cars owned in the past to bring out the reliability of this engine which he instead found generous, reliable, thrifty. Of course, he had to replace the clutch at 20,000 km, but these things can happen to the best. After that, nothing else happened.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
