How Spark Plug Wires are Made and How They Work

In this tutorial, we will see how spark plug wires are made and how they function in cars. Typically, there are four spark plug wires, one for each spark plug and cylinder. The front part is called the boot, which connects to the spark plug; it has a hole where the spark plug must be inserted (push the spark plug to fit it). Next, there is a type of seal to prevent dirt from entering the tunnel; then we see a support that helps detach the spark plug wire. Following that, we have the actual wire and a perforated part that connects to the coil. Spark plug wires transfer the charge (spark) from the coils to the spark plugs, which then create the spark. During this process, the voltage in the wires must dissipate as little as possible; otherwise, the spark in the spark plug will not ignite.
