(Various brands) Various - Video tutorial
Model: (Various brands) Various
In this video, we see what mechanical reasons can cause a car to have excessive fuel consumption: the first is the lambda sensor, which measures the quality of the exhaust gas. If it is damaged, it can no longer do its job and therefore sends wrong information to the engine control unit, which will adjust the fuel injection accordingly, which could increase consumption. Then there is the airflow meter, mounted between the air filter box and the intake manifold, which measures how much air is passing through. It also has an electronic board, and if the "hot wire" that measures the air is damaged, it gives wrong information and therefore increases consumption. The same goes for the air filter, but generally for maintenance, such as spark plugs. Here too, wrong information leads to an increase in consumption. Not to mention the tires, both for the compound, pressure, and convergence, which increase friction.
