How to Change the Timing Belt

First, disconnect the bonnet from the lever to lift it and secure it with the prop rod. Locate the timing belt area, usually found on the side of the engine. Remove the battery connectors. If necessary, remove any components that obstruct your work. Now that you have access to the tensioner pulley, unscrew it to easily remove the belt. Finally, replace it and retrace the steps in reverse.
