In this video we can see how to automate the opening of the rear trunk of the Volkswagen Golf VII, which actually has a button on the remote control that allows for the automatic opening of the trunk, but does not allow for opening with the normal springs mounted on the tailgate. To achieve automatic opening, we must remove the standard springs (which is really easy, just pull out the tab with a screwdriver and the piston comes out immediately) and replace them with reinforced ones, which can be found for example on auto-doc. It/ridex with the code 219G0079 at a price of 51.25 euros + 9.95 euros for shipping. The only downside is that the tailgate is a bit harder to close.

How to change the time on a Toyota Yaris
