Replacement of the gear shift knob and boot of the Volkswagen Transporter T6.

The knob and the gear lever gaiter of the Volkswagen Transporter may wear out over time and require replacement. To change them, we release the base of the gaiter using a plastic lever, lift the gaiter upwards to uncover the base of the knob, loosen the metal clamp and release the reverse linkage. We remove the old components, with the help of a small screwdriver we release the frame at the base of the gaiter that we will recover. We insert the frame into the new gaiter, turn it over and insert the knob in position centering the gear pattern, fix the base of the knob, hook the reverse linkage, lower the gaiter and lock the frame at the base.
