In this tutorial, see how to replace the gear knob in a Volkswagen Transporter T5 van, a very simple and quick operation. For this, you will only need a couple of plastic spatulas and a T30 Torx screwdriver. First, unclip the small panel with the gear markings, then unscrew the bolt accessible from the hole just freed. Next, separate the knob from the shaft, unlock the base of the gaiter from the centre console, and remove it as well. To fit the replacement, simply follow the reverse procedure.
