How to change the battery of a Volkswagen Golf key?

To change the battery of a Volkswagen Golf key, start by pressing the button to extract the metal blade of the key. With the blade extracted, locate the visible groove along the edge of the key. Use a flat-head screwdriver or the same key blade to gently pry open the key shell in two parts. Once opened, you will find the battery inside. Carefully remove the old battery, gently prying if necessary. Note the type of battery (usually a CR2032) and replace it with a new one, ensuring that the positive pole is oriented in the same direction as the previous battery. Once the new battery is installed, close the key shell by applying light pressure until you hear a click confirming the two parts are securely locked. Finally, test the key's proper functioning by trying to open or close the car remotely.
