How to replace the mirror cap of a Volkswagen Golf?

To replace the mirror cap of a Volkswagen Golf, start by turning the mirror to have better access to the cap. Use a thin plastic tool to avoid damaging the paint and gently insert it between the cap and the mirror body. Carefully pry to dislodge the cap from its attachment points. Proceed along the edge of the cap, continuing to pry with caution until it completely detaches from the mirror. Once the old cap is removed, take the new one and align it properly with the attachment points on the mirror. Press firmly the new cap into place until you feel it is securely attached. Check that it fits well and that all clips are correctly attached. Finally, check the proper functioning of the mirror and make sure the cap is firm and stable.
