To replace the external wing mirror cover on a Volkswagen Golf, lever it at the point between the glass and the cover itself. This will allow you to completely detach the cover by unfastening the internal clips; the old cover will be removed, and you can replace it with a new spare part. The new cover should be positioned at the back of the mirror, securing it with its internal clips; the same operation can then be performed on the other side.
