How do you reset the Volkswagen's control unit?

In order to reset the Volkswagen's control unit, you need to connect a diagnostic tool to the OBD port of the vehicle: this will be located on the dashboard immediately below the steering column. Once the connection is made, you can select the specific model of the car and its corresponding version: you can then proceed to delete all the errors stored in the control unit to complete the reset. At this point, you can disconnect the scanner and verify that everything is functioning properly.
