How to Replace the Key Battery on a VW Golf 7

To disassemble the key of the Volkswagen Golf 7 and access the battery, you will need a flat-head screwdriver. First, release the actual key from its housing by pressing the appropriate button. At this point, use the screwdriver to pry open the slot found inside the key housing and remove the cover that protects the battery compartment. Now you have access to the battery; insert the tip of the screwdriver into the designated space to extract the battery. Take the new battery and insert it into its compartment. Reassemble everything by reversing the steps and test the key's functionality.
