How do you reset the Service light on the Volkswagen Transporter?

On the instrument panel of the Volkswagen Transporter, the Service light that is displayed can be reset by pressing and holding the 0.0 button located on the right side of the vehicle's instrument panel. This button must be held down while the instrument panel itself is turned off: so while holding it down, you must insert the ignition key into the corresponding slot and turn it on to activate the instrument panel. This will cause a message to appear on the display, asking if you really want to reset the Service light: by selecting "Yes", the light will be reset and you can turn off the instrument panel by removing the key.
