How do you reset the Service light on the Volkswagen Tiguan?

Model: Volkswagen Tiguan 5N, MK 1 - Years 2007-2016

From the display of the Volkswagen Tiguan, proceed to turn on the instrument panel by inserting the ignition key into the appropriate slot: once this has been turned on, you can navigate through the menu using the button on the right lever next to the steering wheel, until you find "Settings". By selecting it with the button below the lever, you can proceed by selecting "Service" and then "Reset": in this way, the Service light will be completely cleared from the panel, which can then be turned off by turning the key in the slot again.
