How to disassemble the steering wheel and airbag of the Volkswagen Tiguan

In this video, we see how to dismantle the steering wheel and airbag of the Volkswagen Tiguan. First, we disconnect the negative pole of the battery: we need to work on the airbag and we don't want it to explode in our face. Behind the steering wheel, there are two small holes, which we can see by turning the steering wheel completely. We see the first one and proceed to release the first spring; we rotate it completely in the opposite direction and with the same screwdriver, we release the second spring, pressing in the second hole. We remove the central part of the steering wheel, which is nothing but the airbag, removing the electrical connector. Now with a M12 socket, we unscrew the central screw of the steering wheel to remove it.
