This video discusses the maintenance of the 7-speed DSG DQ200 automatic transmission, installed in many Volkswagen vehicles. It is a transmission with dry clutches, so it has internal oil for the mechanics, and oil for the mechatronics, so maintenance is comparable to that of a manual transmission, so we can change the oil when we change the clutches. There is also a version of this transmission with oil bath versions, and there the situation changes, because there the clutches wear out the oil a lot. As for the type of oil, 75-80 or 75-90 is used. This is for the mechanical part. For the mechatronic part, specific Volkswagen hydraulic oil is required, even though the well-known problems of this part of the transmission do not depend entirely on the oil.
