You can reset the DSG automatic transmission of Volkswagen by moving the gear selector to the P position and then engaging the handbrake; from this position, you can keep the accelerator pedal pressed for about forty seconds. At this point, you will need to turn on the instrument panel and wait a few more seconds; now you will need to turn off the panel and keep the pedal depressed for about ten seconds. After releasing the pedal, you will need to close the car and then reopen it with the remote control: in this way, you can verify that the automatic transmission has been reset.
