If you have recently changed the engine oil in your Volkswagen Passat, but the warning light continues to appear on the instrument panel, then you need to manually reset the light in question. Here's how to do it. First, get into the driver's seat and locate the small button located in the lower area of the speedometer and hold it down while starting up the instrument panel. Once you are asked to confirm the reset of the light, release the button and select "OK" to complete the reset procedure.
