To change the engine oil of a Volkswagen Passat, lift the car to access the components beneath the engine bay. Here, you will find the protection panel that needs to be removed by unscrewing its fastening screws. Once the panel is detached, unscrew the oil drain plug, collecting all the used oil in a container. In the same location, there will be the oil filter that needs to be removed from its seat and replaced with a new one. At this point, refit the panel and top up the oil from inside the engine bay.
