How to Change the Engine Oil in a Volkswagen Passat

Before you start, open the front bonnet of your Volkswagen Passat. Begin by extracting the engine oil dipstick. Next, put the car in first gear and engage the handbrake, then lift the vehicle. At this point, unscrew and remove the lower nut of the oil sump to allow all the engine oil to drain out. Once all the engine oil has drained, re-tighten the lower nut, and then lower the vehicle. After completing this step, you can add the new oil, successfully finishing the oil change.
