How to Change the Engine Oil in a Volkswagen Passat?

Before you start, open the bonnet of your Volkswagen Passat. Begin by removing the dipstick to check the engine oil level. Once done, put the car in first gear and engage the handbrake, then lift the vehicle. At this point, unscrew and remove the lower nut from the oil sump to drain all the engine oil. Once all the oil has drained, re-screw the drain nut, and then lower the vehicle. After lowering the vehicle, you can add the new oil, and you will have successfully completed the change.
